What makes you comfortable?
If you point a finger at someone, there are 10 pointing at you….
My deliberation is nothing catchy or new. But because my teacher points at me, it taught me something, and allows me to point at others after equipping myself with my teacher’s teachings.
I was serious but comfortable. I was anxious but comfortable. I had phobia but was comfortable. I was really comfortable with a rosy shade in my eyes while viewing the world. And I never knew that I am uncomfortable.
It is comfortable to make fun of others, but have you been on the other side? Have you been alone doing your thing when some strangers start making fun of you, so much so that you have no one to share stuff with and moreover your kind of crowd doesn’t bother about what you are going through and even the most insane and profoundly dumb people are happily making fun of you?
You don’t bother because it’s your resilience and you continue making your shoe without raising your head to condescend or comment, you just smile back then get back to work or muster up the courage to laugh with them and you get to be called a fool then!! Then you explain or revert back, they call you a clever person and again laugh at you. If they have their way, why not you, to be you?
Yes be you… you are more mature than most others and so beautifully gifted in all aspects of life, thus you don’t humiliate despite being humiliated and learn to be comfortable being you.
They are not important.
It’s your life, be what you want to be not what these jokers around you compel you to become…..thank God for every breath that you take with comfort despite the calloussness around you.
Today is Gurupurab, the birthday of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, a Sikh guru. He has bestowed his people with the capability to endure. So I think this small reminder to those who happen to read this article is to learn to be comfortable and be yourself in all circumstances. People who influence us are not many, but whom we can influence are many…be prepared to become such a teacher. First learn from many to teach a few. Then teach many after learning from few….by then you are comfortable being you!!
