What makes us complete?
Try to think this for at least 15 minutes today……

What you have been eating or what you want to eat?
What you have already accomplished or what more you want?
For ending this year beautifully and embarking upon the one lying ahead, the above two questions are necessary. We do not want to work blindly, see what has been done, mostly by you and yourself. If you don’t think this, it isn’t worth doing. Reflect for a moment and go through the year. Was it worth living like this after all? If you don’t like it, resolve for the next coming year to change things about yourself despite your unique circumstances.
No one is complete despite a steady partner, good children, perfect jobs or lots of wealth and health. Completeness comes from within. It is in your mindset. It isn’t the finishing line, it is a beginning with fewer insecurities and doubts about oneself. It is in being satisfied with how much little you have contributed in your lifetime and what else the vibes around you direct you to do. Of course, a complete person decides and doesn’t create confusions for themselves by being affected by the surroundings.
For me the drive to live a good life comes by gaining wisdom, be light hearted and increase my knowledge that supports my designation and earnings. So here’s a summary of what I learnt this year to make me relatively complete. I shall only enlist and not tax you with the context of these learnings because you can resonate with me according to your own circumstances. You might achieve a common ground or dare to differ.
- Do not expect others to respect you.
- Only respectable people respect.
- The best gift you can offer even to the most disadvantageous person, is the gift of dignity.
- No man can live as an island.
- Professional rivalry remains, do not be subdued, fight till the end of your life.
- Team work is one of the best work ethic, but only if your people are willing otherwise it creates unnecessary stress leading you to do things yourself only.
- Be guided by your virtues and values. When you are emotionally labile, always prefer virtues and values to win the conflict.
- Holistic and precise health care should be provided to all living beings.
- The best way to teach is to start from what is known to unknown.
- Keep the right intentions so that you flow and do not get stuck.
- Yin yoga can do wonders to de-stress and improve our mental well-being.
- Strength training makes your muscles strong enough to correct your body.
- Calories do not matter much if it comes from the right sources.
- Explain your part and leave the decision on them because we cannot change other people but can teach with examples.
- Be grateful. It is a desirous attitude in all situations and workplaces.
So with these learnings I am wiser and happier. So lets embrace uncertainty and begin the new years.
