The Power of Motivation

Today’s motivation to write came from nature. It works.

Someone or something has to show us the way.

I have seen many multi-talented individuals who hardly get great things done because they lack wisdom and means to do so. Their ideas, efforts, hard work can be better than most but they refuse to show up. They lack motivation.

When the right teacher arrives, students get created.

This teacher inspires through a lot of off-beat suggestions. Hand-holding has a transformative power. By asking the students to follow their mission and not sway, the teacher inspires them. By asking students to show-up and by directing them towards the right path, the students become successful and not burden on society. The path of difficulties is simplified through motivation.

Sometimes it is not a person but a particular life’s situation that motivates us to do better than how we spent our yester years. Our agony, friends, family, a beautiful dress are all motivators. The dress would want you to fit in. The agony agrees that our life should be better. The friends might laugh at us which suggests, do better despite criticism. Our family motivates us to think collectively by not having just our own way ridiculing us with negative motivation to do better in any given circumstances for the benefit of all.

In his book, You Can Win, Shiv Khera wrote,

Success is like baking a cake. Unless you have just the right recipe, it is not going to work.

A self-motivated person gets created through consistency and multiple attempts in all endeavors and triggers in life that inspired him towards something he wants to do at his own accord. Not many work hard but smart through their mentors (could be an inspiring article also).

The aim of life is not to do a lot but to be motivated to continue to do little acts of daily things that help achieve our goals. Even if we do not know our purpose, be motivated to do good things and stay motivated in life.

Find someone who can lead us or those many people whom we follow. We rediscover ourselves in the process which makes much difference in achieving with a new lens, with more confidence in one’s own capabilities.

Motivation, through listening, reading, writing, gives us hope from within. Even the end-stage cancer patients are motivated towards spirituality, their goals change, what they want to achieve changes consequently. The cancer patient wants to eat the best desserts available, wants to love his children more, writes an autobiography, and so on.

Adversity is the mother of invention. A human mind is always in trouble, always wants to solve things. There are methods to cleanse our mind and not stick to troubles for long. Motivation gives us the power to heal ourselves. It helps us find inner peace. It creates conditions that beget good things and fortitude. The ‘whys’ in life do not matter once we are motivated, we want to keep doing what we do for long. We develop ourselves through motivation.

The Gods are kind, the people are good. Motivation helps achieve divinity also. One cannot be motivated to lie, steal, abuse, be jealous, fool others, falsify, and back-stab. All these are signs of un-accomplishments, depression and low self-esteem. They are compulsions and not a motivated action. Those who do their work with depth, tend to become tolerant towards life’s discrepancies. Work brings motivation to them like mopping the house, reading 3 pages of a self-help book and much more.

This year’s at end. All good things come to an end. I achieved a lot both personally and career-wise in 2024. The new year should be good too. I am motivated to have fun and write and teach, but foremost, I want to be at peace with myself that shall make me embrace people and motivate them through my writings, and still improve my vocabulary towards success.
