I have 2 months left for a competition and I am out of form ( or out of touch) where I need to prepare 19 important subjects!!

My first reaction is to visualize the hard work needed with around 4–5 thousand pages to memorize!!

What the most of us may do? May wait till the next year and escape or try unprepared without giving it our best!!

The one who did not prepare and casually experienced the competition has called for years of struggle, mental turmoil due to dissatisfaction. This someone did not give it their best, and is least likely to manifest his potential into many many other life’s challenges. This casual approach makes him try many things with mediocre successes and failures….a struggle indeed but fruitless, unhappy success!! So we are not talking about these individuals for whom every milestone is a casual approach, and they have not even tried, leave alone struggle. This person doesn’t learn from any of his success or failure and lives life based on luck!!

Now the other kind of losers, who keep doing the hard work aimlessly. (By the way, hard work and consistency are mandatory and gaining knowledge over exam performance are considered more important in ever lasting success). So in spite of all odds, a person dedicates to hard work, day and night, reading say 2500 pages with perfection and sits for the exam and the questions asked were from the 1000 which he hasn’t read and he fails!!

A very few but yes these few people build a strategy…….They have 19 books to learn, they understand the exam pattern and the weight of each subject!! They prepare not so lengthy subjects one each for 3–4 days, and solve questions on the 5th day pertaining to those subjects which may be 10 subjects that they have chosen, they prepare hr by hr, minute by minute, if they cant fulfill their objective to finish in 3 hrs a particular chapter, they sit for an hour extra to study that chapter, then they dodge….while reading the 5th book, they take time out to revise the first book for say 2 hrs and then continue the 5th book, revise the third and start the 6th…….they ace really ace the competition genuinely in 2 months time!!

Life is like that, we need to prepare cautiously.

Prudence is required, and strategy is required. If I need to commute to a particular city, I need a plan even if I go there every weekend. I need to economize on my car’s gasoline, I need to economize on time. If for a particular month I have less money, I take a public transport to reach there. For a successful journey without mental turmoil, I need to economize.

We are giving ourselves mental dissatisfaction on a daily basis because we avoid those endeavors that task our mind, body, soul and time. If every day we form a good and healthy living strategy along with hard work, we may never fail in life, even if we fail, we correct it and manage our future wisely.

To reduce weight, we may not like it, but we must have a daily work out strategy and diet strategy. But no strategy can be successful without implementation strategy. Club this implementation strategy by discussing it with your colleagues, family, friends so that they know what you are doing, why you are doing it, what can be the outcome so that they help you or stop you, this is how the environment helps you to build your strategy and implement it.

Give yourself perks and incentives daily and live each day conditioned towards your life goals, never live a single second without purpose so that you do not struggle like many others, and become successful!!
