Self determinism is the moral of the story

Let us figure out for ourselves.

As I mentioned in my earliest stories that free-will cannot exist, and impulsivity has bleak consequences compared to spontaneity, so today again it becomes my plate for engorgement of thoughts to ponder about. An expert is more spontaneous in discussions than novices so we really need to build that vocabulary. We need to develop a really critical mind when it comes to performance, in our speech and actions. But the concept of ‘myself’ or self is usually based on ‘my thoughts’ and ‘not your thoughts’. ‘I am myself and so are my thoughts’.

The greatest is the man who understands himself. No one can sway him. He might have a lot of desires but through self-determinism, he can think if the desire is necessary. Here he ponders about the consequence of his self-determined decisions and compromises he makes for a greater good or decides for himself for the benefit of his and his people’s group. He can choose something and free himself in one context but ends up sabotaging some other desire. This trade-off is continuous throughout our life stories. Sometimes the selfless part develops and on the other days we become selfish. No single statement can describe our character because minds are unpredictable, as long as we do not throw away the not so necessary compulsions like an instant gratification for a long deep work.

Today I am afraid, tomorrow this fear would become my strongest defense. If I overcome my fears, I shall be relentlessly free and a walking criminal, or a saint, the choice is not mine, it is the world’s lenses that keep judging me both with positivity and negativity. So my decision cannot depend upon the environmental positive and negative. If I want to follow or learn from them, I can, but true faith that I have is on myself and my self control. I shall break down. Everyone does at some point making it a life worth by tackling all odds and not a lifeless bed on which I only eat and sleep without practicing and teaching.

There can happen multiple cold wars around me, mutinies to tackle, but if I have faith in myself, I shall explore all my decisions, still my permutations and combinations can lead me to heaven or hell. But I am proud that I decided by introspection and not external distractions. This is the power of creativity descended by the almighty to a few disciples, devotees and cults. This is because they dare to listen to themselves. They follow a few and become examples for many. This living is so authentic that the barriers we set for ourselves are history and exist no longer.

But keep control. The moral lies in the fact that I am free to choose for myself and not others. I cannot fly high or be in cloud nine mode forever. And I can consider others, their needs and then take a weighted decision, that could become good for me or them or both, but its decided that the power of decision lies on me.

Such is the greatness of science, religion, art that makes small things hard to decide because of multiple perspectives and aspects that exist, this multiplicity is godly and interesting. It is a rich experience of philosophy.

The disadvantage and outrage is, that when there are several aspects of a problem, the more indecisive we become. So we simply do not decide. It was futile in the first place. There are children who grow without control; why should there be inhibitions? They were drunkards, now they are successful saints, they were poor, now have lots of money….this transformation is great. They thought they could rule the world, now they want a niche to sit and pray and earn one morsel. So they did not decide then, they do not decide today. What can be done? There is no free-will outside in and inside out. It is just a cocktail!!

Praise and blame, merit and demerit, reward and punishment, responsibility and accountability, right and wrong are all self determined. It is a beautiful way to live. Limit to yourself all your actions and thoughts. Believe in yourself. When you stand upright, you can become more compassionate and helpful to others.

Those who can take care of themselves can help others also to live up to their expectations from themselves. People around can be more ambitious and able minded than yourself, so you must believe in what you want, decide on yourself. Always be a work in progress and never finished, this is the art of truly enjoying your life and not finish and crib and crave for opportunities. Keep the knowledge and faith that emanates from you to enlighten people around. It helps and a few minutes of self-expression amongst divine souls is enough work for the day. For the rest of the part, fulfill your dreams and passion undistracted and unhurt by any consequence.

I am working on being as brave as an ant, it never leaves its line or run away, it has to reach its goals, and is crushed before it reaches home, yet it traverses. So that’s about it. Have faith in yourself, follow your life’s call, people are there with open hearts, let them open or close it for you, its their call. You have yours!!
