An year ago I registered for a distance learning programme on occupational health. Eversince then I have been asked by my collegues, family, friends and other students about the need for taking up this subject and how it will help me in the future.

It is dismayal, that nobody around understands our motives, as much as we do, but that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t plan things for our growth in the next 10–15 years. We know what to do deep inside or may seek help from others to guide us. Whom we are placed with is destiny but what we do together is the good work. And learning new things to sharpen the axe of our potential is simply the greatest achievement. Therefore you should have clear intentions that you may set for yourselves. Our intentions should bring us closer to what we want each day, if we are half hearted or not intentional, we can never make up our mind about what we want to do. It takes time to find ways to goal achievement but first we must intend to. We do not depend on the seasons to change, and create, instead we work in the summers of opportunities that are not there to waste.

Before any step in life that we direct ourselves towards, we must have a reason. One must think before they leap. A life that is unintentionally lived is not at all satisfying and it makes people become zombies or a vegetative animal living a mindless and soul deprived life based on instincts. Though not everyone is a good writer, we are all capable of writing our lives. When I suffer from a ' brown out’, a heavy drain of mental energy, I succumb to writing. It is soothing to imagine that someone out there is reading, and my work might be of help to them, if they are going through similar problems or for people who know me may share their own lives with me. Something like teach and learn process, which is the basic principle for a fulfilling life. When we don’t learn, we do not grow, and when we don’t teach, we forget our own learnings.

It’s been 11years in my homeland and it is these few moments of fraternity that I am enjoying in my lavish abode alone in my entitled residence provided by the college where I teach and treat. My intention was not to preach, or live alone, but life brings to us what we really need and all the side hustles that aggravate the mental fatigue simply vanish. Most people who enter their mid thirties or forties have already done much scoping and know now what they are capable of. They may fail but are mature enough to persist, and find ways to succeed by the try, try, try again method. According to me, we needn’t do massive experiments at this age with ourselves unless out of necessity because this age is meant to settle and enhance our living standards both spiritually and mentally, may be financially. The social life that we wanted when we were young now constitutes our family and very few friends compared to a dozen of them in those years.

But these years were breathtakingly difficult for me because I had rigid intentions!! And I think, anyone who is competent is somewhat this type of mad to achieve her goals and is the one who gets a bit closer to them, not without sacrifices though. She has to surpass the obnoxious vibes and just continue. Then one day she listens to a melodious rhythm inspite of these vibes around her covering each moment of turmoil with a blanket of peaceful joy. This joy of course she pretends and is not easy, but her intentions are tight and by her goals she abides. And this is her joy.

So that is how it is, keep good intentions and work towards the intended goals to make a good life.
