People Misjudge Benignity for Incompetence

I have always believed that goodness and intelligence are a deadly combination. And this statement posits if you are good then you are not intelligent and when you judge others or form an opinion, (those who are intelligent, judge) then you are bound to dislike or react, which is not good. And it is good to be bad.

Sometimes gullible people become losers because they don’t encroach upon other people’s territory and accept what is offered to them. Such people are good for others, not for themselves. They give space to others to rule them which is out of their benignity and that is what they like, they confiscate themselves to free others. Their goodness might be mistaken for incompetence or unacceptable behavior that agonizes them and leads to non fulfillment. While there are some people who are liked for being ruthlessly intelligent, not showing anything in the name of kindness when they lead. Because such ruthless people make others feel safe and protected and lead. They may not be morally or ethically right and such people may be good, but intelligent, their stakes are high!!

Many good and intelligent friends create a wall around them as part of adaptation to a cruel world that misunderstands their benignity as incompetence. Because good people are exceptional, it is not like they are unaware of the harshness and discomfort of a situation, and even know the wrong motives of others, but they adapt to the situation which is good. Their enemies shall not receive a reaction, and if they do, it will be through their hard work and intelligence and preparation.

I have found that people become uncomfortable in your company if you are benign and good, if you teach or preach. But you still can lead, when it is your call. We tend to find critics and humor filled people interesting. Who cares whether Lord Jesus Christ was intelligent or good? Was Lord Krishna intelligent or good? We are not Gods and cannot be them. I guess they were good and intelligent and therefore exceptionally lucky to be called Gods of their world.

In a difficult situation, when you either kill or die for no reason, the good leaders win by a strategy, they neither kill nor die, they adjust. The callous people kill and try to win hearts by their intelligence like what Lord Krishna did. The weak sacrifice, to save the world like Jesus, and in the present times we cannot apply kill or die solution to any problem. Here comes the middle path propagated by Gautam Buddha.

The middle path is not mediocrity. You learn marshal arts, learn to fight the enemies, practice daily, and perform. When you perform, you get followers, but if you are only intelligent you will apply your art on any one or everybody to prove that you are most powerful, which is not good even though intelligent. You can empower others to think for themselves and if they are interested, they shall follow and learn from you….that is good and intelligent and certainly the middle path would be to let live others and live yourself. Perform your level best, not considering the comments of people around you, and never be scared of their judgement. Similarly, you are free to intelligently analyse, correct them based on how tactfully you can impose your skills and bring out the best in those around you.

When we are at our peak state, we perform. When we are not prepared, in this ever changing environment, take a back seat and let others perform. Because when we give birth, we instill our value system in our children, and when they grow up, they teach us their values, which they have learnt in their lifetime, and we take a back seat to let them live the life the way they want and not imposed by us!! You as parents are not incompetent, you have shown kindness to your children and it is sure that your able minds have the experience that your children will use or discuss in their life and become equipped with values transcended by you for their betterment.

So we conclude that never underestimate the power possessed by even the most kind and mild people have within them. They can teach you beautiful lessons about life in the nicest ways and certainly they are not incompetent. They are just a different personality, and they give you the freedom to judge, which most ruthless intelligent people do not allow!! Remember be leaders of your own life….
